IOFI attends the 24th FAFAI Seminar in Kochi, India
After having successfully co-hosted the second edition of the FICCI-IOFI Workshop on “Creating awareness among FBOs & SMEs on Flavourings, Safety Evaluations of flavours and emerging trends in Food Flavourings ecosystem” in Mumbai on January 16th 2019, the IOFI team were delighted to attend the 24th Biennial Seminar of the Fragrances & Flavours Association of India (FAFAI) in Kochi on the theme “India, the new growth story” which took place from 18th - 20th January, 2019.
Beijing, China – October 11, 2018 – The International Organization of the Flavor Industry (IOFI) elected Jean Mane its new president at the organization’s October 2018 General Assembly meeting in Beijing. He succeeds Howard Smith of Virginia Dare who was the US delegate from the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association.
IOFI Executive Director Sven Ballschmiede participated in the annual conference of the International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades (IFEAT) in Cartagena, Colombia last week
On October 10, 2018, IOFI co-sponsored the Workshop on Flavoring Safety with International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) China and local member association CAFFCI in Beijing, China.
Earlier this summer, an IOFI delegation traveled to India to continue the dialogue about flavor issues with stakeholders on the ground. Members of the IOFI India Task Force, along with IOFI Regulatory and Advocacy Director Dr. Thierry Cachet and IOFI Scientific Director Dr. Sean Taylor, participated. Read more in News above.
