COVID-19 - IOFI Statement on the essential role of the food sector
As a critical part of the food supply chain, the global Flavor Industry calls on governments to include facilities that manufacture flavorings as “essential businesses.” These facilities should therefore be exempt from measures that would restrict work activities of flavor employees and close operations.
On 10 October 2019, IOFI turned 50 years old, marking half a century of successful collaboration between its member associations and member companies. Around 110 members and guests gathered in Brussels to celebrate the past achievements and to discuss future challenges for the global flavor industry. The event was held at Hotel Steigenberger Wiltcher's, right after IOFI’s 60th General Assembly in Brussels.
IOFI attends the 24th FAFAI Seminar in Kochi, India
After having successfully co-hosted the second edition of the FICCI-IOFI Workshop on “Creating awareness among FBOs & SMEs on Flavourings, Safety Evaluations of flavours and emerging trends in Food Flavourings ecosystem” in Mumbai on January 16th 2019, the IOFI team were delighted to attend the 24th Biennial Seminar of the Fragrances & Flavours Association of India (FAFAI) in Kochi on the theme “India, the new growth story” which took place from 18th - 20th January, 2019.
Beijing, China – October 11, 2018 – The International Organization of the Flavor Industry (IOFI) elected Jean Mane its new president at the organization’s October 2018 General Assembly meeting in Beijing. He succeeds Howard Smith of Virginia Dare who was the US delegate from the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association.
