IOFI Participates in Flavor Day

On June 20, 2017, IOFI Executive Director Sven Ballschmiede (second from right) participated on a panel with (from left) renowned trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort, Consulting firm Mintel’s Senior Food and Drink Analyst Regina Maiseviciute Haydon and DG SANTE, European Commission, Policy Officer on Flavorings Miguel Angel Granero Rosell.
Another important criterion was sustainability, which Sven Ballschmiede, Executive Director of IOFI highlighted as something the industry has been working on for years “Be it at taking care of raw materials, ensuring an efficient use of limited resources or helping to reduce the environmental impact, the flavor industry is part of a circular economy.”
